Hand-thrown smoke grenades HSG-55B (hereinafter – grenades) with bilateral smoke production are intended for laying a smoke-screen to mask individual firing points, small military units, blinding the enemy, but also to simulate fires of military equipment and on civilian targets for training – firefighting and rescue units at emergencies. The grenade possible application is to indicate the helicopter landing site and instruct the direction and wind strength for it.
