The KVL complex is an information management system that operates within an electro-optical system for identification of interferences and is designed to detect laser light and lay smoke or аеrosol screens to disorient enemy-guided missiles.

The system is compatible with the 1A45 or 1A40 fire control system. It is mounted in T-84 tanks, BМ «Оplot», T-72 tanks, and other armored, special-purpose vehicles, including APCs, BMPs, and armored vehicles.

The complex’s devices are immune to high shock and vibration and are suited for work under severe operating conditions.

To obtain information about our products during the preparation of tender or contractual documentation, please contact our representatives via the provided contacts. We continuously improve our products and expand their functionality in line with market needs by applying the latest technologies, modern components, and materials. Therefore, specifications, descriptions, and configurations are subject to change without prior notice.

Features
  • The complex works in the spectral range of 0.6 … 1.9 μm, which includes all wavelengths of laser devices (rangefinders, target pointers, illuminators, etc.) that are in service with the russian federation
  • Operating modes – 6:
    • аutomatic (АUTO)
    • semi-automatic (SA)
    • аutomatic with turret turning (A-SHIFT)
    • turning and firing an existing grenade in the direction of the operator’s field of view without irradiation (TD-SS)
    • simultaneous firing of all existing grenades upon the operator’s command (Group)
    • system functioning control (Control)
  • Built-in performance monitoring system
  • Built-in performance monitoring with and without commands issued to the actuators
  • Data transfer to the onboard computer
  • In terms of resistance to the influence of climatic and other environmental factors, the device meets the requirements of group 1.10 according to GOST B 20.57.304, climate version for macroclimatic regions with a moderate and cold climate under GOST 15150

Purpose Of Use

  • Detects laser light by means of the enemy’s guidance facilities
  • Identifies an irradiator type (а rangefinder, a target pointer or an illuminator)
  • Generates а signal notifying the crew of an object’s exposure to laser guidance facilities of the enemy
  • Determines the direction towards the laser radiation source
  • Controls aerosol (smoke) grenades that are shot back towards the detected laser radiation for laying а screen and disrupting targeting

Application

  • The complex is mounted in armored special-purpose vehicles, including tanks, APCs, ВРМs and armored vehicles
  • When laser irradiation is detected the complex determines:
    • the type of irradiation (rangefinder or illuminator)
    • the direction of irradiation
    • availability of loaded launchers
    • the firing angle of the smoke grenade, taking into account its speed, direction, and wind speed
  • Activates audio and visual alerts indicating the irradiation zone:
    • In <<АUТO>> mode – fires existing grenades without turret turning
    • In <<А-SHIFT >> mode – turns the turret to the smoke grenade and fires one or three grenades (main, 1st additional, 2nd additional)
    • <<SA>> mode – is similar to <<A-SHIFT>> mode. Start of the mode by pressing – the <<Start>> mode
    • <<TD-SS>> mode – turns and fires the existing grenade in the direction of the operator’s field of view without irradiation. Start of the mode – the operator’s command
    • In the <<Group>> mode – simultaneous firing of all existing grenades upon the operator’s command
    • In the <<Control>> mode – system functioning is monitored
