Purpose of the system

  • Radiation and chemical-warfare reconnaissance

BUSK-TB control, alarm and monitor unit

  • Is installed inside the vehicle and ensures:
    • collection, processing, visualization of information received from the CENTURION-G-based chemical reconnaissance device
    • continuous measurement of the ambient dose equivalent rate (hereinafter – DER) of gamma radiation from the contaminated area
    • recording the fact of a nuclear warhead explosion
    • sending measurement results to the data collection and processing system (on-board computer)
    • sound and light alarm of a dangerous level of gamma radiation and a chemical threat
    • generation and issuance of commands (*R”, “A”, “T”, “TRA’) to the control unit of the actuators of the crew protection equipment

CENTURION-G-based chemical reconnaissance device

  • Is installed in the vehicle’s passenger compartment and provides continuous automatic monitoring of the surrounding air with the aim of detecting chemical warfare agents (hereinafter = CWA) in it, determining their classes and concentrations on an eight-level scale, sending information to the BUSK-TB control, alarm and monitor unit. External air is supplied through a cyclone.
  • CENTURION-G-based chemical reconnaissance device ensures:
    • detection of most of the known nerve agents (G, V)
    • all known blister agents (HD)
    • highly toxic substances (hereinafter referred to as “HTS”)
    • containing S (sulfur) and P (phosphorus) in the air
